The Summer Shift Dress

There are 3 qualities I look for in a dress.

Number 1: A shift dress. I feel so constricted by tight body-con dresses that that claustrophobic sensation (you know what I’m talking about) always tends to turn me off. A shift dress, the perfect alternative to tight-fitting-silhouettes, allows for breathing room and always dresses-it-down, allowing for more versatility.

Number 2: A bold print or a neutral design. When it comes to dressing in dresses, I either want these darlings to be extremely minimal with neutral coloring (allowing for lots of everyday wear) or bold, trendy, and absolutely fun. With this particular dress, bold and fun is definitely what I’m going for.

Number 3: A savvy price tag. Dresses are a great investment when you’re not investing too much. I believe that it’s more important to spend a larger investment on a silk button-down (that you may wear for years to come) rather than an everyday trendy frock that will give you a summer of twirls. I prefer my trendy dresses to be under the $70.00 limit; that way you’re not over-doing it.

This cutie dress I’m debuting today? It is the epitome of a perfect little shift dress —  with a fun, trendy, and snazzy design — and a gorgeous little price tag of under $50.00. That makes it the perfect little darling necessity for many summer days and nights to come. Scroll down for more styling clicks and links.
