When Nordstrom asks you to talk staple shoes, you can imagine how hard it is to choose… which ones.
Especially considering Nordstrom is my end-all destination for every kind of kick. Sandals? Nordstrom’s got it. Sneaks? Yup. Stilettos? Uh huh. So, since I couldn’t decide how to narrow down the selection at the Nordstrom shoe department – I decided to perform a little focus group – consisting of myself and a couple of friends. Post shoe chats, my friends and I quickly realized we are reaching for the same pair of shoes — time and time again. Whether it’s for a happy hour, a weekend date, a work meeting, or a night on the town — the Stecy Sandal by Steve Madden is the go-to.
I’m going to break down the shoe for you. First, they’re under $100. That’s the best part — shoes are expensive, they are! And paying $400 for a shoe doesn’t work in my book since I tend to get them all so dirty, so quickly. Second, they go with everything. Which is why I photographed 3 outfits in this post to really show the versatility of the shoe. They so effortlessly transition from outfit to outfit, season to season, and trend to trend. Third, they don’t slip and slide. I love that they have the ankle strap so that you don’t find yourself running in sweaty heels (not a cute image, but it happens – y’all) and sliding away. Plus, the ankle strap is so small and dainty that it doesn’t cut off your legs (for all my petite ladies out there).
I do want to make note — that if you have high arches (like myself) these shoes will take a couple of wears to break in. My flat-footed friends, you should be good from the get-go! These girls took me a couple of wears to get used to, but boy, was it worth it. I love a classic, chic, and affordable staple shoe that I can always reach for. Find the rest of the fab-u-lous shoe department at Nordstrom here, and be sure to check out what I’m wearing on the details below. XOXO
Thank you, Nordstrom, for sponsoring this post. All opinions are my own.
