Peplum is a trend that’s here to stay.

Well, we might as well not even call it a trend — considering it’s a trend that’s been around for so long. Here’s why:

1. Peplum is flattering. I  mean — who doesn’t love a loose-fitting, but also tight-fitting number? It’s the key to anything slimming.

2. Peplum is/can be affordable – this BP darling from Nordstrom is priced right at $39. Cha-ching.

3. Peplum is easy to style. This outfit I’m wearing today is super casual, but think of how many cute peplum cocktail dresses, holiday shirts, and festive fashions there are when it comes to peplum. It’s just plain e-a-s-y.

4. Peplum is wearable. Peplum is a great investment for my petite girls; but also if it’s the right top — it’s perfect for my tall gals too.

I scored this sweet peplum number from BP (such an affordable trend department) at Nordstrom — and I’ve worn it in a couple of different colors. I decided I loved this little lady so much, it was time to dedicate a post to it. I paired the classic, versatile, and crisp peplum with cut-off / destroyed boyfriend shorts that I’ve found myself wearing on repeat this summer. Seriously y’all I am obsessed with these denim girls by Treasure and Bond — mostly because they are so comfy (denim shorts can be so restricting! but – not these babes). My accessories are a bit more high end – if you will – adding an even trendier and glam feel to this Nordstrom look. Get the rest of the details below! XOX

I remember back a couple of years ago, peplum was in, but it was the dramatic peplum. I love how this hem is subtle
