tex·ture (ˈteksCHər/)
noun: the visual and especially tactile quality of a surface.

It’s a powerful word in the fashion industry. In this case, a snakeskin printed blouse, an embossed python leather clutch, a sleek and chic pair of black pointed toe pumps, or new favorite pair of ripped denim — all have the power to enhance the outfit via … their texture. Enter: The snakeskin-printed boyfriend blouse from Missguided. I can’t wait to layer this darling under cardigans and coats, slip it under a sweater, tuck it in high-waisted trousers, and transition it effortless from winter to spring. Plus, you can score its boyfriend-style fit and contemporary chic texture for under $50.00.

Next, insert: The Gigi New York Uber clutch. I’m completely smitten with its embossed python texture, sleek and chic silhouette, and over-sized, make-a-statement style. The darling clutch comes in 9 colors, and is quite the steal with its under $150 price tag. Add in a pair of ripped white denim. This pair is $19 (swoon!), but make sure to order a size up (I ordered small, and they were a bit too small!). Ripped and destroyed denim is a trend that I can definitely hop onto, starting with these winter white gems. Last but not least, add a pair of black pumps. Find them here, and scroll down to find more outfit deets and links. Happy Monday, darlins!

    Hey Jessi,

First off, I’ve just got to say that you’re becoming one of my favourite fashion bloggers. Your style is always spot on!

I really love this look & could not agree more about textures. I think especially when you’re dressing in quite neutral colours (I’d put black and white into this category) it’s really important to vary the texture over your outfit. I really love this snake print shirt too 🙂
