Faith Diaries: All My Jingle Ladies

Faith

Dec 16

To all my jingle ladies – this one’s about singleness and I’m right there with you.

These are my faith-baised blurbs – they’re taken straight off the copy of @my_darling_diary and the purpose is to repurpose the encouragement. Regardless of your beliefs – I hope you love them as much as I do! Let’s go:

’Tis the season for glossy holiday couple pics and mistletoe smooches, and for many of you who have been blessed with a relationship, it’s the most wonderful time of the year. *But* for some of you…it may be discouraging sans significant other in a time of togetherness. So here’s the twist: to my single girls who have been given a divine appointment with a season of singleness: Let’s flip the switch on our perspective for this time we have been *gifted,* as it is fully our choice to weigh in on our “have-not’s” instead of praising for the “haves.” As we align our focus with the pure purpose that created Christmas, a different type of language of love takes the floor. When you dance with Jesus – He’ll point you to and prepare you for the right one and in the right time as He shapes and molds your character amongst your waiting (Ruth 3:11). It’s not a swipe-right kind of conversation, but a sweep-you-off-your-feet kind of relationship; one that no person can fulfill regardless of your singleness status. There’s no place for anxiety when you’re actually praying about a relationship, instead of controlling it. This Christmas, let’s take a step back to let the Lord guide our steps through prayer – because a sense of peace should be on all our Christmas wishlists. OK Jesus! ❤️

Q: Raise your hand if this applies to you! 🙋🏻‍♀️ Married or in-relationship ladies, I love when you weigh in on this topic below with wisdom! If you’re single – join the conversation with something encouraging by comment below!

I’ve been in a season of singleness for a long time and I actually hate it! But I’ve learned to deal with it!

Great post! I love your faith base diaries, and as a single lady this resonates with me! It’s so nice to see positive, uplifting posts about singleness rather than negativity! It really changes your mindset about it!
