“Express” Your Style at SXSW

It’s that time of year again…

…when Austin suddenly turns into a glamorous hot spot filled with techies, movie stars and celebrities alike. The streets are filled with SXSW badges, dressed-down conference attendees and dressed up party-goers. Anything goes in the midst of the SXSW swoon, and when it comes to SXSW style, I’ve got one major brand on my mind: Express. Express held a fun fusion-filled SXSW event this year – but that’s not the only reason I’m darling to the laid-back chic brand. From sophisticated chic to laid back casual – Express nails it when it comes to encompassing all of the SX style in a one-stop shop. Plus their recent “Express your Ambition” campaign is right up my alley because it boils down to expanding personality style, playing with new trends, and defining your style for Spring. And this year, it’s all happening at SXSW. Let’s break it down: (ps – I have a $25 off coupon for Express -you keep reading below…)

For SXSW Interactive: For all-day panels, all-day meet-and-greets, think comfortable. These Express pants were a shoe-in with their striped casual vibe and their soft cozy fit. I always look for soft trousers when it comes to all day-walking-around-the-city wear and these Express babies are it (FYI – they run a bit large). You could dress these cuties up the way I did – with a pair of sandal kicks and an embroidered off-the-shoulder, or add in a tee for even more comfortable wear.

For the SXSW Events and Parties (the best part!): Again, think comfortable when it comes to SXSW event and party hopping – because seriously, the party never stops here at SX. The conference goes on and turns into SXSW music this week, so get ready to get comfy and dressy. This Express dress was a no brainer because of its high-to-low silhouette, western frill, and comfortable materials. I paired the dress with these darling earrings for a feminine and flirty flair.

Check out more of my favorite pieces at Express in the comfy-cozy-city-chic One Eleven section here, or where I found a lot of these favorites in the New Arrivals section here. Also, Express and I want to treat *you*! Get $25 off purchase of $100+ in-store only, using the ring code: 3391! Find the terms and conditions here.

Thank you, Express, for sponsoring this post. All opinions are my own.

I love the pants….I just have a question though. Online they look wide and cropped, but on you they look longer and more slim. Does the fit just depend on your height?

    1. Hi Emily!

They are a bit high! They weren’t cropped on me because I’m super petite (5’4″). I would say the fit definitely depends on your height and I say the run a size large 🙂 I hope this is helpful! XO Jessi

Great looks! Both of these outfits are gorgeous and look equally comfortable. I wish it was warm enough here to wear such cute spring stuff lol!
