Beachy Details

What is it about the ocean?

Every time my family and I hit la plage, I suddenly feel so relaxed, grateful, and at peace. The waves, the salt, the wind, the air, the people; Dominican Republic most definitely captured our hearts last week as my brother, mom and I hit the beach for a little pre-SB blog trip (in fact, we loved it so much, we extended our trip 2 days!). The palms on the beach were so beautiful and graceful, effortlessly setting the scene for the perfect relaxation getaway.

But of course, we couldn’t help but get out the camera and capture the moment on the first day of our trip. This little pom pom bikini embellished our Day 1 activities — and I’m obsessed with the colors, the pom pom trim, and the silhouette of the bikini top. It’s safe to say I got a lot of compliments on this cutie.

Besides the bikini, I have a few favorite must-have beach essentials that I take on every beach trip. This bag (under $50) is my staple. I think I have it in 4 colors now and make sure that all my friends own it — because it’s that perfect all-in-one tote, no matter the season. Tory Burch flip flops: expensive, but great quality and the nude looks good with just about everything. Last but not least: white cut-off shorts – simple, easy, effortless.

  2. This suit is the cutest! The pom pom detailing is just fabulous. And yes, that tote is the best thing ever! I have it and use it all the time. Such a great price point, too!
